At its debut in 2003, the Rolls-Royce Phantom set a new standard for the storied automaker with its combination of traditional handcraftsmanship and the latest advanced technology. In the best Rolls-Royce tradition, the model evolved over its production run, spawning a pair of two-doors: The Phantom Drophead Coupé and, later, the pillarless Coupé with a fixed roof, both based upon the well-received 100EX concept vehicle of 2004.

The latter was the first Rolls-Royce coupe produced by the factory in over two decades, and it shared the sedan’s potent 453-brake horsepower V-12, as well as its muscular styling and front-opening “coach doors.” While conventional handles for the doors were provided, they could be opened and closed remotely, at the touch of a button—a truly extravagant feature.

The seventh model-generation in the history of the legendary British super-luxury brand to carry the flagship Phantom name, it takes Rolls-Royce technicians more than 260 hours to build a Phantom—not counting any bespoke features. Accordingly, less than 200 Phantom Coupes were produced each year from 2008 through 2016. All Phantoms manufactured from 2010 onward received an updated eight-speed automatic transmission—a notable improvement over the prior six-speed unit in the smooth delivery of surging torque.

This U.S.-market 2010 Phantom Coupé was special ordered in the custom color combination of Midnight Sapphire over Seashell leather with extended Zebrano wood veneers and dark blue carpets. Adding to its allure, the car is equipped with the dazzling Starlight Headliner, a breathtaking Rolls-Royce signature feature that simulates a starry night sky via hundreds of hand-fitted, dimmable fiber optic lights. Optional embroidered logos on the headrests, dark blue contrast stitching, front and rear parking cameras, and Zebrano wood on the dashboard and steering wheel round out the stunning presentation.

Accentuating the coupe’s custom-colored exterior are handsome 21-inch forged alloy wheels polished to a perfect luster and the model’s signature brushed-steel package, which executes the bonnet and windscreen surround in distinctive stainless-steel that is hand-brushed to a fine finish.

Delivered new to the preeminent New Jersey Rolls-Royce dealership F.C. Kerbeck, this Phantom Coupe was acquired by the consignor in February 2025, following several years spent with prior owners in Connecticut and Georgia.

Even today, nine years post-production, the Phantom Coupé represents the height of uncompromising modern engineering and luxury. It is an automobile to stop onlookers in their tracks with its regal lines and superb 12-cylinder performance.
