After 20 years of building its reputation as a fast, brash, and unrefined brute, the engineers at Chrysler Corporation conceived the fifth (and final) generation Dodge Viper as a machine that retained its charismatic nature while adding higher levels of luxury and refinement.

Introduced in 2013 after a two-year hiatus, the Code VX Dodge Viper retained the model’s two most distinctive elements: outrageous proportions and a monumental V-10 engine. This new 8.4-liter engine features all-aluminum construction and variable valve timing, allowing for an output of 645 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. At the time, these figures made the powerplant the largest, most powerful naturally aspirated engine available for under $100,000. Beyond the brute force, advanced materials were used for the body construction. The hood, decklid and roof are carbon fiber, while the firewall utilizes magnesium. These components result in the GTS being 100 pounds lighter than its predecessor. Inside, leather is draped across much of the cockpit, and Sabelt-manufactured seats provide a great deal of support. The instrument cluster features a TFT display and for the first time, cruise control and stability control were fitted as standard. The summation of all these developments allows the Viper not only to be more user-friendly, but to compete on the world stage against some of the greatest supercars available.

The 2013 Launch Edition Viper GTS on offer features a host of desirable equipment including premium Sabelt leather seats, an Alcantara headliner, a 19-speaker audio system, four-setting traction control, and unique blue accents in the cabin. All Launch Edition cars were finished in GTS blue with white stripes, harkening back to the original 1996 Coupes.

Delivered new to the Dare to Dream Collection, this Viper has travelled just 4,946 kilometers (~3,074 miles) at the time of cataloguing, and as a result, presents in spectacular condition. An invoice on file dated to 2021 confirms the car received a battery in September of that year. A window sticker will additionally accompany the Viper at the time of sale.

With a luxurious interior, classic sports car proportions, and an engine that would make any old-school enthusiast proud, this 2013 Viper GTS—the last of the legendary Viper lineage—is an undeniable future classic that is a must-have for any serious collection.
