The Mercedes-AMG GT platform remains a stalwart of sportscar racing. It enjoyed immense success in FIA GT3 competition from the very start of its introduction to the series in 2016, scoring a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. In 2022, AMG celebrated its 55th anniversary with the release of the most powerful and capable AMG GT yet, the AMG GT Track Series, limited to just 55 examples.
Weighing around 1,400 kilograms thanks to extensive use of lightweight materials, the Track Series benefits from an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Its 4.0-litre V-8 engine with custom motorsport injectors delivers 734 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque through a Hewland six-speed transaxle and configurable differential. Four-way adjustable Bilstein dampers feature low- and high-speed settings. Grille and bonnet scoops are almost identical to those of the GT3 competition car, while the front splitter, brake ducts, front wheel vents, side skirts, and twin-element rear wing are unique to the Track Series. Forged 18-inch wheels, staggered with massive 13-inch-wide rear tyres, and AP Racing brakes with J-hook rotors provide relentless stopping power.
The interior is stripped of non-essentials and almost every panel is made of exposed carbon fibre, underscoring the commitment to lightweight, functional design. Track-focused features include an FIA-compliant full roll cage, carbon fibre racing seats with Schroth harnesses, a racing-inspired steering yoke, and an array of racing controls.
This GT Track Series is the 12th of 55 produced and was delivered new to its first and only owner in Paris, France. It came from the factory finished in Manufaktur Hightech Silver Magno with model-specific graphics and equipped with air conditioning and size medium/large seats, including the optional passenger seat. The GT Track Series benefits from full paint-protection film and is accompanied by a spare set of wheels and Krontec jack stands.
Recognised by the community for its accessible performance, the AMG GT has built an undeniable legacy that this Track Series readily embraces. As the ultimate expression of the AMG GT platform and one of just 55 units produced, it is among the rarest modern Mercedes-AMG models: a purpose-built track weapon at the pinnacle of factory-engineered performance.
