Not satisfied with the standard 599 GTB Fiorano’s nearly 1.00 g of lateral grip, Ferrari engineers elevated the model’s performance in 2010 with the introduction of the Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione (HGTE) package. Led by an extensively upgraded suspension, the package lowered ride height by almost half an inch through stiffer springs and a sturdier rear anti-roll bar, while also featuring a retuned exhaust, lightweight rims, and upgraded gearbox which dropped shifting times to an astounding 85 milliseconds.
Other standard race-bred elements included carbon fiber mirrors, dash, and steering wheel along with carbon fiber sport seats with Alcantara inserts. Under the hood lurked a Tipo F140 V-12 engine derived from the immortal Ferrari Enzo and no less vicious, capable of rocketing the 599 to 60 mph in a breathtaking 3.3 seconds—the same time as the Enzo.
Displaying just 5,109 miles at cataloguing, this HGTE-equipped 599 GTB Fiorano was supplied new by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, Florida finished in the iconic Maranello racing hue of Scuderia Rosso, complemented by a Nero leather interior. Beyond the substantial $30,000-plus HGTE package, this example is adorned with a host of sought-after options, including Rosso stitching, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, white-face tachometer, parking sensors, and Bose HiFi system. All told, the car sports over $60,000 in factory options.
Following life in Florida, the car was exported to Canada in 2012 where it was faithfully maintained across a short chain of owners. Accompanying invoices outline regular services, including the latest conducted in September 2024 by Daytona Sports Cars of Woodbridge, Ontario. This work featured a complete mechanical inspection, sticky button repair, and clutch inspection, which found it to have 82% life remaining. The car is further accompanied by tools, books, and factory car cover.
Unquestionably among the finest examples available, and boasting an iconic livery with meticulous service history, this 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE embodies all that one should deem essential in a prospective Ferrari.
