The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Project One Edition is a modern milestone from Affalterbach, created exclusively for a select inner circle of AMG’s most devoted patrons. Never intended for the open market, this rare machine exemplifies the very peak of AMG’s engineering prowess.
Beneath its dramatic bodywork lies the firm’s hand-assembled 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, enhanced with a flat-plane crankshaft and delivering approximately 720 horsepower. This immense power flows through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, supported by an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and advanced traction management systems. Performance is suitably blistering with a 0-60 mph time of about 3 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.
Beyond its mechanical credentials, the Project One Edition dazzles in a silver-to-black gradient livery, punctuated by turquoise accents paying homage to Mercedes-AMG’s Formula One partner, Petronas. The bodywork is further distinguished by an intricate three-pointed star motif, while abundant exposed carbon fiber and aggressive aerodynamic elements underscore the Black Series’ uncompromising, track-focused design.
Displaying an astounding 68 miles at cataloguing, the Project One Edition on offer showcases the model’s signature Cirrus Silver-to-Obsidian Black gradient livery, paired with a cabin of black Dinamica and Exclusive Nappa leather, highlighted by vivid turquoise green stitching and stripes. An accompanying window sticker details over $56,000 in optional equipment including a Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, Keyless-Go and Lane Tracking Packages, Touchpad, and carbon-fiber door sills and crossbar. In February 2025, the car received a Multi-Point Inspection and new front crankshaft seal by Mercedes-Benz of Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Born from the AMG One’s development, the Project One Edition fuses AMG’s front-engined supercar prowess with F1-derived hypercar technology, creating an AMG GT Black Series of unmatched exclusivity that stands at the summit of German performance engineering.
