Introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was conceived as a contemporary tribute to one of the marque’s most revered models, the 300 SL ‘Gullwing.’ More than a stylistic homage, the SLS AMG represented a significant milestone for Mercedes-Benz, being the first model designed and engineered entirely in-house by AMG and quickly assuming the flagship mantel from the departing SLR McLaren.

Mercedes-Benz punctuated the success of the SLS AMG with a Final Edition unveiled in a twin premier at the 2013 Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows. Distinguishing features included a carbon fiber bonnet with a central air outlet, a carbon fiber front splitter, and a fixed carbon fiber rear wing derived from the SLS AMG Black Series. Lightweight forged alloy wheels in staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear configuration, finished in matte black, completed the purposeful exterior. The cabin was appointed in high-grade black leather from Mercedes-Benz’s designo Exclusive program, complemented by silver diamond-pattern contrast stitching, silver seat belts, and extensive Alcantara trim applied to the steering wheel, dashboard, roof liner, and rear parcel shelf.

Produced in a limited run of just 350 cars worldwide, the SLS AMG Final Edition strikes a compelling balance between refinement and performance, seamlessly combining the everyday polish of the standard SLS with Black Series–inspired, track-honed aggression to deliver exceptional road-going character.

Delivered new to Mercedes-Benz of Stevens Creek in San Jose, California, this SLS AMG GT Final Edition is believed to be one of the few built for the U.S.-market. At the time of cataloguing, the car displayed just 1,719 miles and is finished in Obsidian Black (197) over a designo Exclusive black leather interior with Alcantara accents. Well-equipped, it features bi-xenon headlamps, Parktronic, heated power-adjustable seats, Keyless-Go, COMAND infotainment, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Defined by its rarity, elevated performance, and unmistakable connection to one of Mercedes-Benz’s most celebrated silhouettes, the SLS AMG Final Edition has emerged as a highly desirable modern collectible, perfectly complementing the legacy of the original 300 SL Gullwing.
