Finished in Alpine White II over a black interior, this example of BMW Motorsport’s E30 M3 homologation special was completed in June 1988. While built to Japanese specification—meaning it notably retains pop-out rear windows and is fitted with a conventional H-pattern manual transmission rather than a dogleg gearbox—this M3 was configured in left-hand drive. It is further complemented by a set of rare 16-inch, split-rim alloy wheels.

The original owner retained the car until 2015 before it was bought in July of that year by The Munich Masterpieces Collection, at which point it was imported and registered in Finland. Accompanied by owner’s guides and a boot-fitted tool kit, the odometer shows 63,082 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.

Among the most famous models ever to receive the BMW Motorsport treatment, this E30-generation M3 makes for a highly desirable modern classic.
