Split between BMW and East Germany’s Eisenacher Motorenwerk, it is thought that approximately 505 examples of the 327 Sport were completed following World War II.

Of those, chassis 88006 was first registered in 1955 to Finland, the largest export market for EMW. While little is known of its early history, the car—equipped with a 1,971-cc straight-six—was believed to have resided for some time in the Eastern city of Mikkeli. Eventually, in 1973, it was registered in the small town of Kokemäki. Taken off the road later in the decade, the Coupé was acquired by The Munich Masterpieces Collection in August 1998. Following a complete restoration, this car returned to the road in 2009.

Presented in two-tone red and black, complemented by matching red wheels, plus a burgundy leather interior featuring wood grain trim, this Coupé makes for one half of an ideal pair alongside the 327/2 Sport Cabriolet also offered as part of the collection.
