The XK 150 S was the most powerful configuration of Jaguar’s model when paired with a 3.8-litre engine, which took the form of a straight-six motor with triple-SU carburettors to return some 265 brake horsepower.

The example offered here was marked complete by the factory on 10 June 1960, styled with a Drophead Coupé body and built in right-hand drive. The Jaguar was supplied new by Henlys Limited of London, finished in British Racing Green over a Suede Green interior and Black convertible hood. The XK 150 stayed in England for its first six years, where it was reportedly owned by the Managing Director of Jaguar’s distribution arm, before being exported to the Netherlands. To prepare for its switch to mainland Europe, the Jaguar was converted to left-hand drive—a change believed to have been carried out in England. In 1968 the car was acquired by the father of the consigning owner, and it has been retained in single-family ownership since then. The car later appeared prominently in The Jaguar Driver’s Year Book 1976.

Now presenting in its factory-correct British Racing Green and noted to retain its matching-numbers engine block with cylinder head, the Jaguar presents in highly original condition. It is offered for sale with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate.

L’exemplaire présenté ici est sorti d’usine le 10 juin 1960, avec une carrosserie Drophead Coupé et une configuration en conduite à droite. Cette Jaguar fut livrée neuve par Henlys Limited of London dans une teinte British Racing Green avec un habitacle Suede Green et un toit ouvrant noir. La XK 150 passa ses six premières années en Angleterre et aurait été la propriété du directeur de la distribution de Jaguar, avant d’être exportée vers les Pays-Bas. Afin de préparer son arrivée en Europe continentale, la Jaguar fut convertie pour la conduite à gauche. Cette modification aurait été effectuée en Angleterre. En 1968, la voiture fut achetée par le père de son propriétaire actuel. Elle est donc restée au sein d’une même famille de 1968 à aujourd’hui. Cette voiture figura par ailleurs dans The Jaguar Driver’s Year Book 1976.

Présentée dans sa peinture d’origine British Racing Green, ainsi que son bloc moteur avec culasse à numéros concordants, cette Jaguar affiche un excellent état d’origine. Elle est proposée à la vente avec un certificat Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
