According to the consignor, this Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V was bought new in early 1990 by a Lancia dealer based in Brescia as a present to himself on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday. Finished just as it presents today, the car sported red paint with a sunroof and Recaro seats trimmed with black leather upholstery, rarely seen options on a Delta Integrale. He went on to keep the car for the following twenty-six years and during this time, the car remained largely unused. It was then bought by the consignor in 2016 who exported the car to his native Germany, where it remains today. According to the consignor, the car was regularly serviced with its original owner, however there are no invoices on file to account for the work. Furthermore, the odometer is showing just under 200 km from new, but this cannot be proven to be original.
Upon its arrival in Germany in 2016, the Lancia received a major service, which included the changing of a timing belt. Further to this, in February of this year, the car was serviced and received a new timing belt, water pump, as well as four new Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tyres. Importantly, the car is accompanied by a set of manuals, including its original service book, some Delta Integrale promotional material, a copy of its previous Italian registration, and an ASI certificate.
Initially developed with rallying in mind, its no surprise that Delta Integrales are brilliant to drive and eminently usable. With added power over its predecessors thanks to the new 200 PS 16v engine with a revised turbocharger and more efficient intercooler. Boasting the desirable options of a sunroof, Recaro seats, and leather upholstery, this two-owner example would truly be a thrill to drive and enjoy.
