RM Sotheby's is delighted to announce the addition of a new sale date in its ever-expanding European auction calendar. Over 150 diverse automobile lots will be offered in Essen, Germany, when the two-day auction takes place on 11–12 April 2019. The new RM Sotheby's sale will form part of the 31st Techno-Classica Essen show in 2019 (10–14 April).
"We are continually looking to expand our presence in Europe, and the addition of the Essen sale to our international auction calendar diversifies our ability to service an area of the industry we have targeted for strategic growth. The now two-day Essen auction highlights our abilities as the world's largest and truly global collector car auction house, while our network of expert specialists and German-speaking staff will be on hand to welcome both seasoned collectors and first-time clients new to the auction event," said Gord Duff, Global Head of Auctions, RM Sotheby's.
Techno-Classica Essen is a long-running fair for classic car fans in Essen and is recognized as the first great German car salon for vintage cars and collector vehicles. The most recent edition of the show was attended by more than 1,250 exhibitors from more than 30 nations and over 20 exhibition halls, attracting approximately 185,000 visitors to the Messe Essen exhibition center. More than 200 classic car clubs attended the 2017 installation of Techno-Classica Essen, bringing hundreds of classic cars to view, in addition to the 20 automobile manufacturers onsite.

Admission is open to the general public during preview hours only. Admission to the auction on Thursday, 11 April, and Friday, 12 April, is for registered bidders, consignors, and qualified media only.
BIDDER REGISTRATION – €50
Bidder registration includes an official auction catalogue and admission for one bidder and one guest to the auction.
