Crawford’s chief of design, Andy Scriven, led the development of the Crawford GT06 chassis, designed for pairing specifically with a Ford Mustang. Crawford would undertake various revisions so the GT06 chassis could accommodate a wider range of wheelbases and drivetrains, adding compatibility for the Infiniti G35, Corvette Z06, Ford Mustang GT and the Ferrari F430.

This Crawford-Ferrari F430 GT, chassis 001, utilises Crawford’s GT06 tube frame chassis and is equipped with Ferrari F430 engine, backed by an EMCO gearbox. It was commissioned by Scott Tucker, the first owner, and was built in 2008 at a total cost of over $750,000. This example was campaigned by Level 5 Motorsports in the 2008 Grand Am season, winning twice in the 2009 and 2010 SCCA National Championship Runoffs.
