Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Position Summary

This is an outstanding full-time opportunity for an accounting clerk with our growing team. The Accounting Clerk will be integral at making sure that all daily accounting tasks are fulfilled. This position will be located at our head office in Blenheim, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Various accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
  • Matching receipts to credit card statements and then coding and posting of charges in accounting system
  • Posting cash receipts and bank transfers
  • Reconciling intercompany transactions
  • Helping organize and maintain office areas for neatness, overall appearance & functionality
  • Communicating professionally with suppliers, clients and staff
  • Weekly cheque runs
  • Preparing customer invoices for trucking services and customs fees
  • Filing
  • Inventory
  • Month End Reconciliation
  • Other activities as assigned by the Employer

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in the field of Accounting
  • 1 year of experience in an Accounting or Bookkeeping role
  • Intermediate level Excel

Director of Finance

Job Title: Director of Finance
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary

In this dynamic role, the Director of Finance will primarily be responsible for budgets and reporting, working in concert with departmental managers to collect information and build various financial tools, as well as supporting the Accounting department as a whole in their daily activities as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and adept at working well with a team in a busy office. This position will be located at our head offices in Blenheim, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership over the Accounting/Finance Departments
  • Manage organization cash flow and forecasting
  • Prepare, Analyze and Present Monthly Consolidated Financial Reports
  • Lead the Budget/Forecasting process and reporting
  • Work with managers for variance reporting and monthly accruals
  • Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinating as required with outside auditors/accountants
  • Assist with banking relationships and monthly bank reporting
  • Prepare and remit monthly Sales Tax returns
  • Calculate monthly Commissions for salespeople
  • Perform other duties as required/requested

Requirements

  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • At least 5 years in a senior accounting role, with supervision of staff
  • Exemplary Leadership Skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams as well as independently
  • Ability to occasionally work outside regular working hours
  • Working knowledge of GAAP. GAAS
  • Expert Computer Skills, with advanced proficiency in Office Products
  • Ability to travel if required for short periods
