Crafted in 2018, the Nike Air Jordan 1 High "Design Studio" Sample is an unreleased iteration of the iconic Air Jordan 1. Produced in limited quantities, the pair was rumored to have been given only to members of the Jordan Brand’s design studio team.
Drawing inspiration from the classic "Black Toe" Jordan 1, the pair showcases a blend of elements such as a perforated white leather toe, against a black leather forefoot. Departing from tradition, the design takes on a more abstract form with an embroidered "MMXVIII" motif adorning the purple heel. Complementing these features are black leather Swoosh logos on each side, and a red-based tie-dye pattern wrapping around the collar, adorned with black "Wings" branding. A subtle "LA" tongue patch embellishes the left shoe, while the right bears the original "Nike Air" logo on the tongue. Completing the ensemble, the pair is finished with a white midsole and a purple outsole.
