When Fred Guyton was only 30 he moved two houses down from his mentor Norris Allen, who was 70 years old at the time. After Mr. Allen passed away, his widow Dottie wanted rid of the numerous car parts that filled their basement and garage. Fred dutifully moved them to wherever he could find space in his house. One such item, which has been stored at his home for over 25 years, was the relatively complete Rolls-Royce Phantom III engine, number H18W (originally fitted to chassis 3DL44). Unbeknownst to Fred at the time, this engine would be from the same series as his 'Parallel Door' Phantom III.
