A unique, race-worn and signed Lando Norris helmet from the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix will be offered at RM Sotheby’s London auction on 31 October 2026, with proceeds going to Race Against Dementia.

The charity was established by three-time Formula 1 champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to fund research into the prevention and cure of dementia.

Created for the Canadian Grand Prix in partnership with Race Against Dementia researcher Dr. Maura Malpetti, the helmet features a design inspired by brain synapses—the tiny connections between brain cells that become damaged by dementia. The design is divided into two halves: one side depicts a healthy brain, while the other shows a brain affected by synaptic loss.

Norris said, “This helmet carries a powerful message—one side represents a healthy brain, while the other reflects the impact of dementia. It means a lot to me, and getting to share the story of this helmet in Canada was very special.”

The Bell helmet was worn by Norris during the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix, where he qualified 3rd before a gearbox failure forced him to retire from the race. It is expected to fetch between £50,000 and £80,000 GBP.

Proceeds will support Race Against Dementia’s groundbreaking research program, which brings neuroscientists together with experts from Formula 1, engineering and technology to accelerate learning, share knowledge and drive breakthroughs in dementia research.

RM Sotheby’s London auction returns to The Peninsula London on 31 October. Now in its third year at the venue, the sale has become a fixture of the UK collector car calendar.
